Kaori Ieyasu

a representative of Edelkoort East/ Trend Union Japan
studied law at Kwansei gakuin university, she started her career in the jewelry brand
BVLGARI, experiencing the marketing, then being engaged in fashion design and
branding work in Felissimo , she moved to the Netherlands to study at Design
Academy Eindhoven. She studied concept design as well as product design &
exhibition design by Aldo Bakker. Graduated in 2007 and work experienced with
Studioilse in London, she starts her career in Trend Union Paris. Since 2008, she came
back to Japan to open its branch in Tokyo and made this business bigger and well-
known. Using her various experiences and also as being a designer by herself, she is
creating the bridge between Japanese industries and Trend Union and trying to
broaden the idea of trend forecasting.
Since 2009, she has been working with textile and jewelry region of Yamanashi, Japan
to help craft people to develop their design and communication. Through this work, she
has built up the friendship and relationship with craft people and talented designers,
she develops own collections as well.
